Evan's First Birthday

evan is one! wow, time flew by this year and we thought we'd never make it (hello, 6 hour crying sessions!?!??! post partum blues!??!?! no sleeping at night!?!??!) but here we are... thank God

to celebrate we bought evan a cupcake... all they had was red velvet so we took it... of course with our luck he had an allergic reaction to the red dye they use (i think) but he enjoyed it so much that i didn't really feel too bad

i wish you could have seen the entire video because it captures so much of evan's personality... part tiger, part foodie, part ravenous glutton (he really is! he cried over potato chips the other day and he now yells until we give him food that he wants to eat) part ham and part laugh monster (he LOVES to laugh and crack up things we cant even decipher)
alas, the batteries ran out and you only see a glimpse of his love for food... later on he squeals and makes grunting noises and laughs and yells
