our little longhorn

the other day i'm putting evan to nap which usually just means i lay him on his loveseat, put a barrier so he doesn't fall off, and leave the room... he's usually good about going to sleep on his own but recently we catch him playing when he's supposed to be sleeping... and he's being sneaky about it... he doesn't make any noise so we don't come in and check up on him...

so i put him down... silence... i think "oh great he's sleeping"

15 minutes later
room: GIGGLES
me: huh?
room: muffles giggles

5 minutes later
silence
i walk in to check and evan fell asleep sitting down with bevo sitting next to him


friday i put him down... same thing except this time the giggling ensues...
i walk in his room and evan is laying down... paci on the floor... stuffed bevo on top of him...
and he is poking bevo's head giggling (cute but weird)

yesterday paul texts me with this: evan fell asleep hugging bevo
apparently paul says he just laid before down next to evan and he fell asleep rather quickly

so i tried the strategy yesterday afternoon and evan ended up playing with bevo for 30 minutes (bevo = little rascal's partner in crime)
when evan woke up i showed him bevo and he quickly hugged him...

we have yet to see if bevo is friend or foe (when it comes to naptimes) but can i just say how proud i am that at such a young age evan loves our UT mascot... go little longhorn
