summer fever

yes yes we know we've been delinquent BUT we also had some adventures this summer...

1. Paul's first wedding in Lake Tahoe
thoughts: loved the weather... loved the 3 night sleep over at a gorgeous house with friends... did not love Evan's chapped face or almost missing our flight back or being charged $$$ for a dirty rental car

2. the waco wedding
thoughts: evan had loads of fun messing with stuff around the house while everyone was busy with the wedding ;-) and the best steak/fish entree i've had at a wedding

3. the toronto wedding
thoughts: loved the weather... loved spending time with family... loved having evan meet and play with his cousins... loved chinese food in toronto... loved that veal and eggplant parmesan sandwich at the farmer's market
did not love evan screaming at the top of his lungs while we were having our anniversary dinner... did not love that we missed "the best sushi" in north america or susur lee's restaurant

4. the family group
thoughts: we've been putting together these family get togethers at church and absolutely have enjoyed getting to know them and learning from people who have more experience with this family thing than we do

5. the 15 month milestones
thoughts: love that the tooth fairy is now in business at our house albeit 2 teeth is not much of an invite... love that evan is showing us more of his goofy nature (blowing raspberries on our legs, spinning til he falls, playing hide and seek)... do not like the teething pains or the dropped morning nap or that he seems to know how to push our buttons and be rebellious (what? you said, "come here," i think i'm going to run the other way now while i laugh at you chasing after me)
