Prepping For Pigskin

so obviously football season is right around the corner, and k wants to start indoctrinating evan so he can start bleeding burnt orange. as you can see he doesnt like burnt orange very much. i understand...he might be more of a green and gold person...WOOT!

on another note, evan is going to the doctor today for one of his periodic checkups. little does he know that he will get 4 shots in the leg today. boo, sorry evan but it has to be done.

Easily Entertained

when evan is in a good mood, he is so easily entertained. he is becoming more alert and "talkative". sometimes he laughs and plays at the appropriate time...like in the video below. however, there are times when he wants to play at 5am when we are feeding him and trying to get him to go back to sleep...like this morning. ugh...i cant go back to sleep.

i know evan makes a bunch of noises both awake and in his sleep, but this is a new one for me.

Favorite Things

so evan has a few favorite things to do recently...one of them is blowing spit bubbles when in the car. i guess he just does it to pass the time. sometimes i fear that he will get dehydrated b/c he likes to do this so much.

we bought a bumbo for him b/c he starts to complain when he is not included in the action. now he can participate when k and i cook, and he can also sit at the table with us. he loves it.


he and i also like to have conversations. he usually agrees with me, but he replies back in portuguese so i cant understand him very well.

so one of evan's aunts in baltimore gave him a hat, and we thought we would try it at the pool.

this is also the first time i am wearing shoes.

For Those Demanding a Blog Post...

these days evan is much more vocal...he likes to tell us if he is uncomfortable, hungry, or happy...the following video is one of discomfort. the translation is roughly "HEY!....im uncomfortable...do something."



evan is also continuing his SAT studies as well. hopefully one day he can be a rhodes scholar or something.
